Built-in Video Calls

AyloCare’s built-in video call feature lets you connect with your clients face-to-face without leaving the platform. No downloads, no third-party accounts — just click and call.

How it works

The built-in call system uses WebRTC, a secure, browser-native technology for real-time audio and video. Your connection is peer-to-peer, meaning the call goes directly between you and your client for minimal latency.

Starting a call from Messages

  1. Go to Messages in the sidebar
  2. Open the conversation with your client
  3. Click the video camera icon in the top-right corner of the chat
  4. AyloCare will notify the client that you’re calling
  5. Once they accept, the call connects in your browser

Your client does not need to be inside AyloCare when you call — they will receive a notification and can join from their device.

Joining a scheduled session

When an appointment is scheduled, both you and your client can join the video call at the appointment time directly from the Calendar.

  1. Go to Calendar
  2. Find your appointment
  3. Click Join Session (or the session link)
  4. The call opens in your browser

During the call

Once connected, you have the following controls:

ControlDescription
Mute / UnmuteToggle your microphone on or off
Camera On / OffEnable or disable your video feed
Hang upEnd the call

Your video appears in a smaller window; your client’s video fills the main screen.

Granting camera & microphone permissions

The first time you start a call, your browser will ask for permission to use your camera and microphone.

  • Click Allow when prompted
  • If you accidentally denied permission, open your browser settings and reset permissions for the AyloCare site

Tip: Test your camera and microphone before your first session so you’re ready when it counts.
