myDATA (AADE)
If you’re a licensed professional in Greece, every session you get paid for legally needs a receipt filed with the Greek tax authority (AADE), through their myDATA system. AyloCare does this for you — automatically, the instant a payment goes through — so you never re-type the same information into a separate program or the AADE website.
myDATA is only relevant if you’re a professional operating in Greece, filing under the Greek tax system. If that’s not you, you can ignore this whole section.
What happens once it’s on
Once you connect your AADE codes and myDATA is switched on, this happens automatically for every paid session — nothing further for you to click:
- A compliant receipt (ΑΠΥ) is issued, with all the tax fields filled in correctly for you
- It’s filed with myDATA immediately
- The official stamp AADE returns (called a MARK) and a QR code are added to your receipt
- You can see the filing status of every payment at a glance in Payment History
There’s no “send this one, skip that one.” Once myDATA is switched on, every session you get paid for — however it was paid, whether or not it came from a booked calendar appointment — is filed automatically. This is a legal filing requirement, not a convenience feature, so AyloCare doesn’t offer a way to file some receipts and not others.
You don’t need to use the calendar at all. If you invoice clients directly — no booked appointments, just a payment link or a manual record — AyloCare still issues and files a fully compliant receipt the same way. This is useful if you run your practice more informally, or invoice for services outside your regular calendar.
Two things myDATA needs from you first
Before AyloCare can connect to myDATA or file anything, two simple things need to be in place. If either is missing, AyloCare tells you exactly what’s needed and where to fix it — you won’t lose a payment, you’ll just be asked to complete the setting first.
- Your business details. Your legal business name and address, entered once under Settings → Billing → Payments. These print on every receipt you issue, myDATA or not.
- Your payment currency must be Euro (€). myDATA can only file receipts in EUR. If your account is set to a different currency, connect to myDATA once you’ve switched it — and if you ever change your currency away from EUR later while myDATA is on, AyloCare will pause new payments until it’s fixed.
The two AADE codes happen once. To connect at all, you need two codes from AADE. The easiest and safest way is to ask your accountant to generate them — it takes them a couple of minutes. See the next page for exactly what to ask for.
