Notes in the Client Portal

If you have Notes enabled for the Client Portal, clients can access a Notes tab in their portal where they can read notes you’ve shared with them and write their own reflections.

To enable Notes for clients, go to Settings → General → Client Portal → Features → Notes.


What Clients See

In their Notes tab, clients can see:

  • Notes you’ve shared with them — notes created from their profile that you’ve set to visible
  • Their own notes — notes they’ve written themselves

Client-Written Notes

Clients can create notes to:

  • Reflect on sessions
  • Track their progress and thoughts
  • Write journal entries between appointments

By default, client notes are private (visible only to them). They can choose to share a note with you, which makes it appear in the Notes tab of their profile in your dashboard.


Commenting

Under each note, both you and the client can leave comments. This creates a shared discussion space for reflections, feedback, and progress updates.


Privacy

  • Notes you’ve locked/hidden are not visible to the client
  • The client’s hidden notes are not visible to you
  • Shared notes are visible to both parties
