Messages

The Messages section gives you a real-time chat channel with each of your clients. Send text, share emoji reactions, and start a video or phone call — all from the same place. Clients can access the same conversation from their portal, making it a seamless two-way communication channel.

Who Can Use Messages

  • Providers can message any client in their practice
  • Clients can message their provider from their portal
  • Staff members with the appropriate role can also participate

Messages are end-to-end secure and only visible to you and the client involved in the conversation.


Overview of the Messaging Layout

The Messages page is split into two panels:

Left — Conversations listAll your clients who have an active conversation with you. Shows the last message and an unread badge if there are new messages.
Right — Chat windowThe full conversation history with the selected client, plus the message input at the bottom.

Real-Time Messaging

Messages are delivered in real-time — both you and the client see new messages instantly without needing to refresh the page. You’ll also see an online indicator next to a client’s name if they’re currently active on the platform.
